Field Extracts Live Rosin Review – Surprisingly Great
Today we will take a look at Field Extracts live rosin manufactured by Royal Key Extracts, LLC. Currently, Field Extracts offers live resin and live rosin concentrates as well as cartridges and disposables in select dispensaries throughout California. Prior to this review, I’ve enjoyed most of their live resin concentrates, especially their previous collaborations with Connected Cannabis Co., Alien Labs, and Terp Hogz. However, this is the first time trying their solventless cold-cured live rosin. For this review, I will try a couple of different strains for their live rosin.
Pros:
- Surprisingly great quality
- Excellent potency
- Slightly more affordable prices
- Includes dab tool
Cons:
- None
Recommendations: None
The freshly whipped look of Garlic Starship is similar to Have Hash from Talking Trees Farms
This week, I picked up Garlic Starship live rosin from Field Extracts. Before opening the jar, the presentation is very classy with the jar wrapped in tissue paper, and it comes with a handy logo-stenciled dab tool. This is especially useful if you forget your dab tool before hitting the road. When opening the jar, the live rosin looks wet and freshly whipped with a criss-cross pattern across the surface, similar to the live rosin batter from Have Hash from Talking Trees Farms. Garlic Starship is an Indica dominant hybrid cross between GMO and Sensi Star, which are two very potent strains. The most dominant terpenes for Garlic Starship are noted as limonene and caryophyllene. As expected with most GMO cultivars, the skunky aroma of Garlic Starship is earthy, spicy, and peppery, very reminiscent of sticking your nose in a stinky jar of fresh minced garlic. Its flavor is sweet, spicy, and earthy with hints of citrus, pine, and diesel. The body-heavy effects of Garlic Starship felt euphoric, uplifting, and relaxing. The THC % of Garlic Starship is 76.47% and the CBD % is less than 0.2%. This strain was perfect for sessions after work and evenings.
The look of Blue Dolphin is similar to Feeling Frosty, Papa’s Select, and Schackow Farms
Next, I also picked up their Blue Dolphin live rosin, also from Royal Key Extracts, whose exact genetics are unknown. The look of Blue Dolphin was similar to some of the live rosin from Feeling Frosty, Papa’s Select, and Schackow Farms in terms of texture. The most dominant terpenes for Blue Dolphin were also noted as limonene and caryophyllene. The taste and aroma of Blue Dolphin are sweet, earthy, and floral with hints of lemons, blueberries, and diesel. The effects of Blue Dolphin also felt just as calming, uplifting, and relaxing as the Garlic Starship. The THC % of Blue Dolphin is 69.4% and the CBD % is less than 0.2%. This strain was ideal for late afternoons and for a post-workout session.

Almost as tasty and potent as Feeling Frosty, Papa’s Select and Cali Stripe Concentrates
The retail price for the Field Extracts live rosin is usually around $60 for a gram, pre-tax. In my opinion, this is currently one of the best live rosins for its slightly lower price than other cold cure live rosin choices. This live rosin was almost as tasty and potent as Feeling Frosty, Papa’s Select, and Cali Stripe Concentrates, but priced at a slightly lower price point than those brands. If you enjoyed their live resin, I would highly recommend their solventless live rosin. Both the price range and quality for Field Extracts are very similar to the live rosin badder from Schackow Farms, Have Hash, and Suprize Suprize. Although I enjoyed the flavor and potency of Blue Dolphin, I still prefer the unique flavor and stronger potency of Garlic Starship in this case.

Overall, Field Extracts is recommended for its quality, potency, similar price as Schackow Farms, Have Hash, and Suprize Suprize
In conclusion, Field Extracts is recommended for its surprisingly great quality, excellent potency, and slightly more affordable price. Although not as tasty and potent as Feeling Frosty, Papa’s Select, and Cali Stripe Concentrates, the overall quality and price for Field Extracts is closer to Schackow Farms, Have Hash and Suprize Suprize. In addition, I would recommend the Garlic Starship over the Blue Dolphin for both its flavor and potency. Field Extracts currently offers live resin and live rosin concentrates as well as cartridges and disposables in select dispensaries throughout California, which can be found on Weedmaps here.
