Tronian Tautron Battery Review – Affordable and Compact

Tronian Tautron Battery Review – Affordable and Compact

Today we will be looking at the Tronian Tautron, which is a 380 mAh lithium-ion battery for cartridges. Tronian currently offers 510-threaded cartridges, 510-threaded batteries, and disposable vapes. We have also previously reviewed the Tronian Pitron battery here. The Tronian Tautron battery currently runs for $24.99 on their website. We will detail our experience objectively as always in our non-affiliate reviews. For this review, I will give the Tronian Tautron battery a try.

Pros:

  • Compact and discreet build
  • Ultra-portable design
  • Solid battery strength
  • Efficient performance
  • Very affordable price
  • Great for the casual user

Cons:

  • Lack of variable voltage settings

Recommendations: Some variable voltage settings would be greatly appreciated.

Slimmer in size and lighter in weight than the PKCT One Plus and the CCell Silo

The Tronian Tautron is among the most compact cartridge batteries with its small and lightweight size. The Tronian Tautron has a very simple and elegant design with its slimmer size and lighter weight than other similar batteries, such as the PKT Plus One and the CCell Silo. Overall, the battery life and performance of the Tronian Tautron feel similar to the UWOW Storm battery. On the other hand, the Tautron Tautron isn’t quite as versatile when it comes to temperature control. The Tronian Tautron is only draw-activated at a maximum wattage of 4.2v. The USB port is also located on the bottom of the battery.

When opening the box for the Tronian Tautron, you will find the following:

  • Tautron battery unit
  • 1.0ml magnetic 510-threaded adaptor
  • 0.5ml magnetic 510-threaded adaptor
  • Micro USB charging cable
  • User manual

The Tronian Tautron battery is not preferred for live resin/sauce cartridges due to the high setting

The Tronian Tautron is very discreet as the unit fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The battery also has a unique logo-stenciled cartridge window that shows your oil level. But this battery is not preferred for live resin/sauce cartridges due to the somewhat higher voltage setting. The Tronian Tautron battery works with most 510 threaded cartridges of 10.5mm diameter and less.

The main advantages of the Tronian Tautron battery are the ease of use and discreteness

One of the advantages of The Tronian Tautron is that it’s incredibly easy to use as it is draw-activated. It doesn’t have variable voltage options. I was relatively pleased by the long-lasting battery life, decent strength, and efficient performance. The Tronian Tautron battery feels stronger and more efficient with half-gram cartridges but felt under-powered for full gram cartridges. However, the flavor does taste burnt the longer you take your hit. I would recommend taking shorter hits with this battery.

The primary downside is the lack of temperature control

The biggest drawback is its lack of variable voltage settings. That makes it hard to go low-temp for live resin/sauce cartridges. This is not necessarily a deal-breaker, as its portability and ease of use compensate for that flaw. It tasted overall better with half-gram cartridges such as Woodstock Heritage Strain distillate cartridges and Kurvana sauce cartridges than it did with the cured sauce cartridges from Friendly Farms and the jelly sauce cartridges from Blue River Extracts.

Still, the affordable value is hard to beat for the strength and performance of this battery

The battery life and performance of Tronian Tautron are recommended enough for the undiscerning casual user because of its affordable price. At $25, it’s hard to beat, especially if you’re only an occasional user of cartridges. It still hits pretty hard when using the Blue River Jelly sauce cartridges and Friendly Farms cured resin cartridges. They felt potent, if not as tasty. However, it was noticeably better than the Ooze Vault battery, which was much weaker in strength and had a shorter battery life than the Tronian Tautron battery. It would also be great if the USB port was located on the side of the battery unit, Instead of that, it’s located at the bottom of the battery.

Overall, the Tronian Tautron battery is a very solid recommendation

In conclusion, the Tronian Tautron battery is a very solid recommendation because it offers a solid yet discreet build, an ultra-portable design, great battery strength, and efficient performance for a low enough price. But the lack of variable temperature settings is its biggest flaw. It’s not a complete deal-breaker if you only occasionally smoke cartridges.

In addition, I would recommend half-gram cartridges for better performance and stronger potency if that’s what you want. The Tronian Tautron would also be a solid yet inexpensive gift idea for the 4/20 holiday. Currently, The Tronian Tautron battery runs for $24.99 on their website here
