Pros:
- Solid build design/quality
- Above-average potency
- Good taste

Cons:
- EV2 hardware
- Oil burns very quickly
Recommendations: Switching to a more efficient CCELL hardware or pod system would improve efficiency while improving the taste and potency of the oil.

Apex Extractions currently offers live resin cartridges, disposables, and concentrates throughout select dispensaries and deliveries throughout California. For this review, I’ll take a look at the pros and cons of Apex Pinnacle live resin cartridges.
Build design and quality is surprisingly solid and sturdy, if outdated
The hardware design and quality of the Apex Pinnacle live resin cartridge are surprisingly solid and sturdy with an adjustable airflow ring. In terms of hardware, the EV2 vape cartridge model feels outdated and will only work with certain batteries. The oil burns very quickly as the half gram cartridge only seems to last less than 2 days with only moderate usage and even with a lower voltage of 2.2-2.8v. It also only seems to last roughly around 50-75 puffs at 2.2-2.8v, which is noticeably quick for a live resin cartridge.
Oil quality is similar to Leune Brand, Raw Garden, and Stiiizy Silver
The oil quality seems lighter in color, similar to Leune Brand live resin pods, Raw Garden cartridges, and Stiiizy Silver pods. In terms of airflow, there were a few issues towards the end of the cartridge. If they use a C-Cell or a pod system, better potency and taste can be experienced from this oil.
Tasty and smooth as Leune Brand, ABX Live, and Stiiizy Silver
This week, I picked up two different Apex Pinnacle live resin cartridges, Peanut Butter Souffle (Lava Cake x Dosidos) x Dosidos and Gaslotti. When breaking down this intriguing hybrid, this Peanut Butter Souffle is essentially two parts Dosidos and one part Lava Cake. The taste of Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos is sweet, nutty, and earthy with a creamy vanilla aftertaste. The effects of Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos is uplifting, relaxing, and focused. The strain was perfect for daytime, especially during the afternoon as the high settles into relaxation in the evening. This was as tasty and smooth as Leune Brand live resin, ABX Live, and Stiiizy Silver pods.
Not as tasty and potent as Alpine, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters Live
This week, the other Apex Pinnacle cartridge I picked up was Gaslotti, first bred by pHinest Cannabis. Gaslotti is believed to be an Indica dominant hybrid cross between King Louis OG and Gelatti. The taste of Gaslotti is sweet, fruity, and grassy with hints of citrus, garlic, and earth. The effects of Gaslotti felt calming, uplifting, and euphoric. This strain was perfect for any time of day as it possesses both Sativa and Indica properties. Overall, I preferred the taste of Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos, although Gaslotti felt more potent than Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos. However, it was not as tasty and potent as the live resin cartridges from Alpine, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters Live.
Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos wins for taste, Gaslotti wins for potency
The Apex Pinnacle live resin cartridges are roughly priced around $30-35 for a half gram cartridge, pre-tax. In my opinion, Apex Pinnacle live cartridges are recommended for their quality, taste, and smoothness. Overall, this was as tasty and smooth as Leune Brand live resin, ABX Live, and Stiiizy Silver pods, but not as much as Alpine, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters Live. For the best taste and potency, I have found that the best voltage for Apex Pinnacle live cartridges was 2.6-2.8v on Utillian 5. However, the oil started to have a slightly burnt taste when using a standard variable voltage battery.

The biggest drawback is its outdated hardware and how rapidly it burns through the oil
In conclusion, this is only a mild recommendation because of its outdated hardware and how rapidly it burns through the oil. However, it is as tasty and smooth as Leune Brand live resin, ABX Live, and Stiiizy Silver pods, but not as potent as other live resin cartridges from Alpine, Buddies, and Heavy Hitters Live. In addition, I preferred the taste of Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos, but Gaslotti felt slightly more potent than Peanut Butter Souffle x Dosidos. Overall, Apex Pinnacle live cartridges are solid and sturdy with an adjustable airflow option, but the overall hardware feels outdated. Apex Extractions currently offers cartridges, disposables, and concentrates throughout select dispensaries and deliveries throughout California.
