The Core E-Rig Review – Excellent Performance and Long-lasting Battery

Today we will take a look at The Core E-Rig from Szenchen Crossing, which should sound familiar to many consumers for their popular Sai Atomizer. The Core E-Rig is one of the latest E-Rigs to challenge the Focus V Carta. As always in our non-affiliate reviews, we will detail our experience objectively. The retail price for the Core E-Rig currently runs for $199.99 on their website. For this review, I will take a look at the pros and cons of the Core E-Rig from Szenchen Crossing.

Pros:

  • Excellent performance
  • Long-lasting battery
  • Great taste
  • Ease of use
  • Lower price than other E-Rigs

Cons:

  • Slightly bulkier than Focus V Carta

Recommendations: None

The Core E-Rig is slightly bulkier, yet less pricey than the Focus V Carta

The build and design are very similar to the Focus V Carta in terms of construction and style. Overall, this is a much more satisfying experience at a better overall value. The Core E-Rig is slightly bulkier, yet less pricey than the Focus V Carta. The atomizer for the Focus V Carta is located above alongside the bubbler. However, the atomizer for the Crossing Core is lower than the bubbler, thus felt more effective. The glass bubbler for the Focus V Carta is also slimmer than the Core E-Rig bubbler.

Operating the Core E-rig is similar to operating the Focus V Carta

Operating the Core E-rig is very straightforward, especially if you have owned a Focus V Carta. The Core E-Rig mainly consists of the glass bubbler, the base of the unit, the atomizer, and the carb cap with a tether. Basically, the assembly and usage are very similar to the mechanics and design of the Focus V Carta:

  • Fill the glass bubbler up to 1/3rd half full with water
  • Attach your desired atomizer onto the base of the Core E-Rig
  • Reattach carb cap with tether
  • Load your preferred extract into the bowl towards the middle
  • Place carb cap back onto the atomizer
  • Turn on the unit by quickly five times
  • The LED lights will indicate the remaining charge on the unit (Green for full, White for medium, Blue for low, and Red for very low.)
  • Change the heat setting to your preferred heat setting by pressing the button 3 times. (The Core has four main heat settings: 2.6V, 2.9V, 3.9V 4.2V)
  • LED lights will indicate the temperatures. (Green for high, White for medium/high, Blue for medium, and Red for low.)
  • Press and hold the button to manually heat the atomizer for up to 15 seconds or press the button twice to start an automatic heating cycle, then vibrate when it’s ready to use.
  • Inhale when ready.

Slightly more challenging to maintain, when compared to Hydrology NX or Dr. Dabber Boost Evo

The maintenance will be a bit trickier and slightly more challenging than other E-Rigs, such as the Hydrology NX by Cloudious9 or Dr. Dabber Boost Evo. The primary units to clean and maintain are the glass bubbler, the base of the unit, the atomizer(s), and the carb cap with tether, again much like the Focus V Carta. Overall, the Core E-Rig is recommended for its performance, battery life, ease of use, and taste for a more affordable price than the Focus V Carta. Overfilling the titanium and quartz buckets will clog the airflow, if not careful. For live rosin, it’s advised to use the quartz bucket while the titanium bucket is better for other extracts, such as live resin sauce, sugar, or badder.

The Core E-Rig is recommended as a more affordable option to the Focus V Carta

In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Core E-Rig over the Focus V Carta for its better performance, longer battery life, more accessible features, and its lower price. While the price is lower, the Core E-Rig is somewhat bulkier than the Focus V Carta. However, its performance and battery life are stronger and longer-lasting than the Focus V Carta. The retail price for the Core E-Rig currently runs for $199.99 on their website or through TVAPE here.
