The build quality and design is extremely sturdy, solid, and long-lasting

The build quality and design for the Utillian 5 wax pen is extremely sturdy and solid. The 1500 maH battery is also very easy to use with a simple and clean one-button design. The USB charging port is located on the side of the battery, which is very much appreciated. That way you can stand the battery up with a cart in it and still charge it.

The battery also works with most 510-threaded cartridges

The battery for this wax pen has an extremely long-lasting life with a single charge. The battery unit is turned on and off by pressing the power button five times. The four main voltage settings are toggled by pressing the power button twice. The battery also works with most 510 threaded cartridges, even with ceramic coil cartridges. This versatile feature is especially useful if you are not able to travel with concentrates.

The strongest asset is its ability to handle small and large loads of wax

The strongest asset of the Utillian 5 wax pen is its ability to handle both small and large loads of wax. Both of the black ceramic coils are designed to maximize your oil usage offering better efficiency by producing less waste. In addition, the Utillian 5 wax pen works well with most concentrates, such as live resin sugars/badders, diamond sauce, and live rosin.

When pressing down on the power button, The Utillian 5 has 4 main pre-set voltages:

For better flavor and to conserve your wax, use a lower voltage setting. For stronger potency and bigger clouds, use a higher voltage setting.

  • 2.2V as indicated by one (1) power light
  • 2.4V as indicated by two (2) power lights
  • 2.6V as indicated by three (3) power lights
  • 2.8V as indicated by four (4) power lights

The Utillian 5 wax pen is also highly recommended for its durability

The Utillian 5 wax pen is also highly recommended for its durability. The battery has a stainless steel exterior designed for maximum durability. The glass bubbler that is included in the kit is very thick and more difficult to break, especially with the red protective silicone ring.

The Utillian 5 wax pen comes with two different black ceramic coils

The Utillian 5 wax pen comes with two different coils, one dual twisted Kenthal black ceramic coil, and one triple titanium black ceramic coil. Both are very easy to clean, maintain and switch between the two coils, as are all the other parts of the rig, including the glass bubbler. This allows a wide versatility for heavy, high-tolerance users as well as casual users with low tolerance. For more info about dab surfaces, check out our guide to different dab surface materials, which explains all this titanium-vs-ceramic stuff.

The Utillian 5 is very easy to clean, assemble and disassemble

The maintenance is easy for the Utillian 5 wax pen, which makes it very easy to clean, assemble, and disassemble. All you need to do is soak the two coils along with the glass bubbler, the protective silicone rings, and wipe the top of the battery down with some alcohol. The glass bubbler is also very thick, which makes it harder to break. However, the glass bubbler can crack if dropped so caution is still advised.

Compared to other wax pens

The Utillian 5 wax pen is far more versatile and durable than GPen Nova, Yocan Evolve, and Ooze Vault among the wax pens I’ve had in the past. It is far easier to clean and much less messy than most wax pens. The atomizers can hold up to 0.3 grams of concentrates, which is slightly more than most wax pens. The battery has a longer life between charges than most wax pens.

The 1500maH battery is long-lasting between charges and works with most 510-threaded cartridges.
