UWOW Storm Battery Review – A Solid Variable Voltage Battery

UWOW Storm Battery Review – A Solid Variable Voltage Battery

Today we will take a look at the Storm Mod battery from UWOW Tech. The Storm mod from UWOW Tech is a compact variable voltage battery with OLED display. It also works with most 510 threaded cartridges with the exception of ceramic cartridges or any proprietary cartridges such as Rove. Today I will take a look at the pros and cons of the Storm Mod battery from UWOW Tech.

Pros:

  • Solid and compact design
  • Works with most 510 cartridges
  • Nice strong hits
  • Long-lasting battery
  • Puff counter/duration timer
  • Affordable price

Cons:

  • Issues with the connection between the battery and the cartridge

Recommendation: The magnetic adapter ring between the battery and cartridge needs to be improved.

Works with most 510 threaded cartridges except for ceramic cartridges, proprietary cartridges such as Rove

Upon opening the package, the box comes with the battery and a USB charger.  There’s also a magnetic adapter ring that connects your 510 threaded cartridges to the battery. The 510 thread port supports up to 10.5 mm, which means it won’t work with ceramic cartridges or any proprietary cartridges such as Rove. After using this battery with most of my cartridges, I was very pleased by the battery life and performance of this Storm Mod battery from UWOW Tech, which delivers nice strong hits with milky clouds.

UWOW Storm is an 800mAh lithium-ion push-button battery that delivers nice strong hits with milky clouds

The Storm mod is pretty portable. It’s easy to use and has a user-friendly OLED screen. The Storm mod battery has a sturdy aluminum build with a cartridge window. This battery also has a comfortable grip in your hand. The most useful aspect of the Storm mod is the versatile features available on the OLED screen, which conveniently displays the voltage setting, atomizer resistance, battery life, puff counter, and puff duration timer.

There were some issues with the connection between the battery and the cartridge

The Storm mod has 3 preset voltage settings: 3.5v, 3.7v, 4.0v. This is displayed on the monitor on the top right of the OLED screen. To the left of the voltage setting is the battery life. At the bottom of the screen is the puff counter. Once you attach the magnetic adapter ring to the bottom of the cartridge and insert the battery into the battery, it will say “Load Access.” If it’s not attached properly, it will say “Check Atomizer.” After a few weeks, the magnetic adapter ring did have some issues with the connection between the battery and the cartridge.

The battery life is long-lasting once fully charged, better than the Ooze Vault, stronger than Dip Devices battery

The battery is long-lasting once the battery is fully charged which recharges in an hour. The charging port for the battery is located at the bottom of the battery. The battery life seems similar to the CCELL Silo, but it is definitely longer than the battery life of the Ooze Vault. The performance of the UWOW Storm battery is stronger than the battery function of the EVRI from Dip Devices. The battery life is indicated at the top left of the OLED screen.

The puff counter and duration timer allow consumers to control the dosage of their hits

The puff counter is a valuable feature showing you exactly how many servings you’ve had so far with your cartridge. The battery also will tell how long you take for each hit, which is also very beneficial. The puff duration timer is activated when pressing the front button to take your hit. The hit strength is pretty strong at 3.5v and very powerful at 4.0v. Both of these features allow consumers to control the dosage of their hits. The UWOW Storm also has a locking/unlocking feature activated by clicking the battery five times to prevent accidental waste. The 3 preset voltages for the battery can be toggled through by clicking the battery 3 times.

The retail price for the UWOW Storm mod battery is around $40 not including shipping rates. But the UWOW Storm mod battery is available at most online retailers at a sales price of half, around $20-25. Considering it can be found at half the retail price at most sites, the Storm mod from UWOW is pretty great value for its price.
